This may be our last year placing flags at a National Cemetary, since it is usually a Cub Scout activity. We were able to go as a family and help out. It was sobering to see all the gravestones. There's something about the layout that makes it all the more overwhelming. On a side note, the cicadas were out in full force (they are especailly bad this year). The kids had fun holding them and listening to the obnoxious noise they make.
