Wilson County Fair

We had a great time at the Wilson County Fair this Saturday. We started off with a new favorite - hog racing! We got to see ducks and goats race down the track as well. Here's a clip of the hogs!

I suppose this just goes to prove how popular NASCAR (Non-Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks) is out here.

SM's poster was chosen to be displayed at the fair. (Last year Ch had a project displayed.)

We also went to the petting zoo. They had camels and kangaroos as well as the more standard fare of goats and sheep and llamas. We did not get a chance to pet the African Porcupines however, but no one complained about that.

The Flea Circus was a good 'old-fashioned' show.

In between the shows we played some games on the Midway and had funnel cake.

Finally, we ended the evening with the Demolition Derby! It was a blast! We met up with some friends (thanks for saving us seats!) and the four boys (their two and our two) were almost louder than the souped up car engines! In T's opinion however, it was too noisy (the boys or the cars?).
